FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS SEPTEMBER 13TH AND 14TH.

Over The Rainbow Preschool would like to take a moment to talk about our approach to the prevention and spread of the Swine Flu in our Preschool. Federal Swine Flu prevention guidelines that have been issued for preschools and day care centers strongly urge us to watch out for many symptoms of influenza. We will be concentrating on hygiene as the most important method of keeping the influenza virus at bay.

All of our staff will do a daily check for children with flu like symptoms. The Center for Disease Control is asking that if we have a child with such symptoms to quickly isolate the child and send them home. We will have thermometers on hand as well as hand sanitizer and kids sani hand wipes. All of the children will spend time learning how to properly wash their hands as well as learning how to cough and sneeze into their elbow. We are asking that you enforce and practice these measures at home as well.

Please understand that we are asking all parents to keep their child home if they have any flu like symptoms, fever, vomiting or headache. If your child experiences any of the influenza symptoms, he/she must be free of ALL symptoms for a full 48 hours before returning to school.

Our school will be thoroughly cleaned on Tuesdays and Fridays, as well as everyday bleaching of tables and chairs and bathrooms.

Over The Rainbow Preschool will take all measures possible to make sure that your child is in a clean environment. We will hand out any information that is sent to us by the state regarding this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
